Nothing...nothing but endless sands ever since I left the oasis. I'm almost outta water...much more of this and I'll...hey!
Nocina was venturing out int the desert, hoping to find civilization, or maybe just a small group of nomads to befriend. Instead, she found sand. And lots of it. As she wandered aimlessly, she came to an abandoned building, almost consumed by the sand. Only the top floor was showing.
She found a broken wall and went in. As soon as she entered the room, she was aware of what it used to be: a prison. She also immediately felt the undeniable sense that something else was there. Maybe it had something to do with the ruined, dark halls, the occasional bloodstain, and the flickering lights. She turned to go back, but as she began to climb through the opening, a part of the ceiling collapsed and sand poured in. In moments, sunlight no longer shone into the room. She was trapped.
(Note: this rp will be moving very fast, will end shorter than other rps, and the interaction with people other than Nocina and Zarrai will be limited. you can still join if you wish, though ^^)

The darkness, the hollow emptiness...
The was nothing for the man that used to be Walter Kennelly. Nothing but the roars of silence. He felt nothing. He had only felt one thing, Vengeance. From this, he returned and killed his tormentors. But, since then, there was the darkness. But within this darkness he heard something. He was not sure what, but he knew it would die. For nothing that entered these halls lived.
He had become aware of a new presence. New life. It too, would join the dead.

"What? Wh-who's there?"
Nocina was venturing deeper into the abandoned compound. She saw no way out so far, but of she could get enough power, she could magically enhance it to blow the roof off. As she wandered the creepy halls of the prison, she thought she was hearing voices and distant screams...of those executed here, those who never again saw the light of day. She grew increasingly tense and eventually started shaking as she braved deeper into the shattered fortress....
After delving deeper six floors, she begins to hear some electricity running.
Great! If I find the generator, I can use it to make an exit!
As she neared the room humming with electrical power, she could sense something was wrong. As she opened the door, she somehow missed the sign reading "C-313: Electric Chair Execution Chamber." As she walked in, the sound of power completely diminishes. She walks further in, and sees the chair in the middle of the room. When she notices this, she turns to escape, suddenly filled with fear, only to find the door shut and locked behind her.
The sound of humming electricity once again fills her ears, but much louder this time. Sparks begin to fly from the electricity generator, and the hum of power grows to the sound of constant thunder.
She turns around to find a figure sitting in the chair. The eyes are rolled back in his head, and he seems dead. Suddenly, the sparks stop and the power turns off, and Nocina is trapped in complete darkness. She hears a voice...
"You are breathing...no one does that anymore...I shall remedy that..."

Free, from that void, the spirit freely moved about. He got out of the chair and moved closer to her. He wasn't walking, for he was a spirit. He could sense her fear. Seeing her in fear made him think Perhaps she is not a threat... No! She is alive and therefore my enemy!
The spirit began to charge energy, the same energy that killed him. This made him reflect on the life he had lost twenty years ago... Anger struck him. The pain, the suffering, and the new found void that was all consuming made him feel even more anger. He felt his eyes roll into the back of his head... This was his time, to have Vengeance...

Nocina saw the spirit, filled with anger, charging some electrical attack. She thought it was the end...
It being a spirit, she didn't want to hurt it, and didn't really think she could.
She tried to get away from the spirit, but the doors were still locked. She tried to freeze it with ice, but she didn't have anything to smack the door with, and there wasn't enough moisture to make something.
She did all she could do; she ran to the corner of the room and cowered in fear. As the figure moved closer to her, charging it's electric attack, she began to cry...

The Spirit was surprised by her tears. Why was she crying? He began to question himself.
I.... I cannot kill... this innocence.... She has done no wrong, she has do no harm... But, she is still my enemy... but.... I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!
He blasted the wall next to her in frustration. Confusion had not replaced his agony and hatred. Now, he could think of nothing... He was truly lost. Should he kill her, or not?

When he fired his charged electric shot, she screamed in fear, although in missed her and hit the wall next to her. As the dust cleared, she began to stand up and look around. She was not dead. Then what happened? She turned to see the ghostlike creature hovering before her, looking genuinely lost and confused. She suddenly felt pity towards the forgotten soul.
She walked up to it. "What's wrong?"

He looked at her. She was standing before him, no longer afraid, no longer crying. This puzzled him even more.
"Girl, tell me why do you cry? Does death scare you so? You come in and disturb my rest. You ask me what is wrong... well, I can't decide whether I should kill you or not." The spirit said.
He still could not decide. He began to think. Why should she die? She hasn't wronged me... But then again, why should she live? She has sin upon her, everyone does. Besides, it would release her from the bonds of life.
These thoughts assured him, and be began to charge another attack. This time he would not fail, he would kill his target. "I have decided that you shall join the dead here and be freed from the chains of life. So, you will be free soon, it will all be over soon... So don't cry, even though you're about to die..."

She was startled a little by his first string of words, but she maintained her place. She could sense that there was something beyond that seemingly cold appearance of his. However, when she heard the rest of what he had to say, she was not filled with fear as much as anger this time.
What? Free me from the chains of life? Is this spirit insane?
"Huh. And end up like you? I don't think so." She dashed backwards as the air in the room began to stir. She was charging her wind magic in case there was going to be a fight.
"You know...if you'd have been a little nicer I would have wanted to help you..." ...and I still do, poor soul.

"You would probably go into Heaven... or the depths of the underworld. I'm only here for my hatred towards people like you. I doubt you could hate anyone as much as I hate the living. No one values life! And so, I'll take life from them, because they won't care... And, it is only justice for what you humans did to me!"
Memories flooded him and got him angry. His anger turned to hatred. His hate was seething and making him even more powerful. He felt his power intensify more and more. He was sure that she had to die. His power hit its peak as he launched his powerful electric attack towards her.
Let justice be served...

Nocina was almost surprised when he attacked. She had sincerely hoped that he would back down once again, but this was not the case. She couldn't move fast enough to dodge it, so she tried to buffer and contain it with wind. It came up to her, slowed almost to a stop, when the ball of electricity exploded.
The sudden explosion caught her off guard and she went flying into the rocky wall behind her. Hard.
Some rocks tumbled from high on the wall and landed on her in various places. She was dazed and unable to dodge anything. She really thought that she was going to die.
Her back was fractured and slightly impaled by some rocks that were jutting out on the wall. She wasn't paralyzed, but moving hurt like hell. Other bones in her body were fractured, if not broken, as well.

Seeing that she could use magic surprised him greatly.
I had better be careful, I don't know what magic could do to me. I have to kill her fast...
"Fighting back will only make it hurt worse... Give in an accept your death, sleep and rest, for you shall soon join the dead."
The Spirit charged another attack, this time he was going to use his power to electrify the air around him. There was little chance that she would survive this.
"Oh, and about what I said, you probably won't go to heaven... Say hello to my tormentors in the Hellfire that awaits you."

As she heard those words, her will to live overwhelmed her. The air around her that stirred with electricity suddenly shot out and dispersed the shock. Then the same air shot towards the spirit and hit it with great magical force.
She aroused the air around her and forced herself to stand up. She was breathing heavily, covered in cuts and bruises from the rocks. There were multiple gashes in her back oozing blood, as well as a wound on her head giving off some blood. And yet there she stood, refusing to be defeated.
"I pity you...lost soul." and tears formed at the corners of her eyes and rolled down her face, mixing with the blood.

"Pity me? How dare you! The living will die even if I have to kill each and everyone of you!"
The electricity became so intense now that sparks could be seen everywhere. The electric humming was now a thunderous roar.
"The end draws near..."
At these words, the room illuminated with radiance. The spirit knew that she would be dead when the light faded... but.....

She was trying to contain him with the wind, but she was so weak that he easily broke free. She could do nothing more...she falls on her side, exhausted from the little magic she used. She was crying now for herself, as well as her tormentor.
The electricity began to crawl towards her...
No...this can't be the end...it just can't...
She stood. "The end...it can't happen now..." she whispered, eyes closed, almost like a prayer. Then, her eyes shot open "I won't let it!"
The room was filled with a massive electric shock.
As the dust settles, Nocina stood untouched by the attack, surrounded by an icy shield. The ice then broke away, circled around her for a second, and charged toward the spirit.

It was ironic that he, a master electric powers and shock, was shocked.
HOW DID SHE SURVIVE? No matter, it's not like she can harm me...
"No matter what power you possess you will die. If not now, then someday you will. Death is inevitable, so allow me to end it quickly for you."
He too began to charge, he had to have reconciliation and revenge.

"Death, no matter how unavoidable, can wait. I have other plans..."
At the last second, Nocina pulled away the ice shards and collected power through a torrent of magic, and fired three consecutive blasts of pure arcane magic. Driven by desire, the blasts were of devastating power for what she could muster. It was her last ability to use under the circumstances.

While charging he saw what she was doing... and by the time he tried avoid it it was too late. The arcane power swept over him and caused him great pain. Pain... at least I feel something... She still strives to live? Perhaps she does appreciate the value of life... I was too harsh in my judgment. Her hands have no blood upon them. She should live... for now....
His power faded and he fell to the ground, no longer floating. He now realized that he had a weakness, and it was magic.
"Girl, I have wronged you. You are truly worthy of living. I should not have blammed you for what they did..."

Even in all of her pain, she managed a smile. "Thank you..."
"But, I can't help but wonder....why do you have all this anger? What did 'they' do to you?"

The spirit sighed. He rose and began to float again. Then he spoke, ready to tell his story...
“Okay, let me tell you my story, then you might understand why I hate the living so… This story happened 34 years ago…
I once lived, and breathed much like you do now. I was free to feel the wind upon my face and I was happy. I was once a man called Walter Kenelly. I lived in Norman’s Motel in room 206. I had a happy life. But one day everything changed. I was 22 when that day came…
You see, I was a good man, a good citizen. I stood up for justice. But, the day came when justice itself betrayed me. A vicious murder occurred and four people were dead, and two were traumatically injured. The bodies where found in room 302. There were no leads. So, the police investigated, and their evidence led to me. They accused me of these deeds simply because I lived in the apartment building. They interrogated me, and ruined me. I was fired from my job, my fiancée left me. My family rejected me. They forged and created false evidence to bring me to ‘justice’!
But no, things got better! I learned things about these cops. They were dirty. They were the killers. They had too many drinks one night and killed those innocent people. When I spoke out about this, no one believed me. Then, I was sentenced to death. They killed me brutally in an electric chair. Supposedly, they are supposed to put a wet sponge on your head to help the electricity flow. Instead of a wet sponge, a dry sponge was placed on my head. I was alive for a long time in that chair before I finally died. The pain was unimaginable. I was no longer the man I was while I was dying in that chair. Hatred became the reason I exist now. When my spirit rooted itself in hate, I returned as what you see now. I killed my tormentors and every single person in this prison. Why? Because, this prison was filled with monsters…
That is my story… That is why, I hate the living so much. But you are different… and I don’t understand you…”
