When the spirit finished his story, Nocina looked down, not sure what to think of it.
"That's so....so sad."
After a moment or two of silence, then Nocina looked up.
"If you hadn't killed those cops yourself, then I would. Nonetheless..." Nocina sighed. "I can see why you've become this. It seems your anger and willpower conquered even death itself...and I must thank you for sparing me." She did her best to bow. As she did, she winced in pain. The spirit noticed some more bleeding.
"But as for me, I just like living" She smiled a little "I try to make every minute last longer...I know how temporary life can be. I've seen it happen...but I don't know why you're still here."

"I see... I will now open a way for you to go. And I think I will leave this place as well. The memories still haunt me. Besides, It has been too long since I have seen the light of day. Perhaps it will do me some good."
The spirit blasted a part of the roof open. Oddly, the light that poured in shone upon the electric chair, as if saying the time to move on was now. The spirit though deeply, he was certainly not the man he was. He ascended and looked back at the girl.
"Tell me girl, what is your name?"

As she wearily got to her feet, she looked up at him and smiled.
"Nocina Wintern... " as she passed out.

"My name is... Zarein"
He looked at her limp body. She was not going to last if he left her there, alone.
He descended and reached for her hand. To his surprise, he could touch it. He picked her up and decided to drop her off at the oasis, she would be safe there. As for him, he do what he wished. And that would be to go, and deliver justice to the living... As he flew off into the distance, holding Nocina, he realized that there would be good people like her as well.
They arrived at the oasis. He set her down by a tree. "It is time for us to part. I hope to see other kind people like you. But, I must serve justice as well. Until we meet again..."
He left without looking back.

Nocina awoke with a start. She looked around, and noticed that she was back at the oasis. One work continually ricocheted through her mind.
Zarein...
He was nowhere to be seen. However, the sun had almost disappeared over the horizon, and the desert was a dangerous, dangerous place at night. She left and made her way to the nearest populated town, Judric Town.
"Zarein...."
