There was simply no other way to put it.
As she stepped into the darkness that embraced the tight space, she idly wondered if she wasn't being just a tad bit reckless. After all, she was going through with this on a mere hunch and advice from an old man. An old man that was rumored to be senile. Kimiko Tetsu paused for a second, her hand resting against the damp wall that helped guide her down.
No, of course she was being careful. She smirked as she continued down. Being reckless would mean she was getting into a situation in which she would be helpless. Kimiko gingerly stepped over a weak point in the floor. See? She was cautious.
Her odd coloured hair was void of its usual light without some form of light to touch it. Blue eyes scanned the way in front of her, seeking a safe place to touch, a sinister trap waiting for her. Once or twice she heard the distinct sound of a small animal scurrying around and had to pause to ensure she wasn't hearing things.
Her lithe body, clothed in a fashion still unusual to the world, moved silently through the tunnel until she finally arrived to the location she desired. A small grin grew on her face as she walked forward. The ruins of a long ago city spread out before her, almost begging her to run through their forgotten streets, to rummage and discover secrets long ago held.
She would, Kimiko silently promised, but for the moment, she was on the hunt for one specific item. She took a right turn, mentally beginning a small map. A small jewel of a blue color was her target and she would not leave until she found something that helped her attain it.

The kitsune nimbly maneuvered through the streets as two determined pursuers chased after him. He did not actually steal anything, this time. No, this was a grudge. It was not his fault... entirely. People should know better than to play a game of chance and gamble with a kitsune. Sure, Kurama had cheated - a little - but that was no reason to get mad and hold a grudge for a month. At least Kurama thought so.
He turned the corner and quickly slid under an inconspicuous gap located between an abandoned wagon and a dilapidated vendors stand. It opened up to a dark crawl space that sloped downward where Kurama hid. His pursuers passed by, still thinking that he was on the run. Kurama smiled to himself in triumph before he turned in the tight confines, following the right-hand wall.
After about a minute, it opened up into a darkened hallway and he dropped silently to the ground. His escape route led him straight into the underground city. The hallway had once been a street in between buildings. He pushed his silver hair out of his face and brushed the dirt off that he had collected by taking his escape route.
Kurama stepped out into more open space, his golden gaze settling quickly on a petite figure coming his way. He put a mischievous grin on his face and gave the girl a deep, formal bow in greeting.

She had stepped into a relatively stable looking building in an attemp to familiarize with the surrounding area. Trained in the arts of assasination, it was second nature for her to make sure she was comfortable in her surroundings in case things...got complicated. She side-stepped a falling, decayed piece of roof. First sign of bad luck.
She exited from the building and moved on to the next where she managed to find various valuable books. It was also at this place where she had managed to cut herself on a piece of glass she had managed to clutch at the last second. Part of a valuable item, she was unwilling to let it shatter when it would fetch a pretty price on the market. Considering stopping her voyage was not in her mind. Kimiko knew she had a habit of meeting people that would be troublesome to her if she had three strokes of bad luck, but it was only two....
"Damn it," she cursed. Strike Three. The fifth building had shut her inside, the door refusing to open. In a moment, she had kicked the door down, somehow causing a stabbing pain to shoot up her leg. Muttering curses, she strayed from the buildings and chose to walk down a path that seemed quite deserted and not harmful to her.
As she was starting to regain confidence that her small mission would be able to continue without any sort of problems, a figure, much taller than her, stepped out of the shadows. On instinct, she fell into a defsensive position. Her surprise did not show on her face as the tall male bowed, but her stance grew a little more steady.
Enemies, she knew, would at times try to make one forget their training and then launched in to kill such fools. Clutching her precious artifacts, Kimiko narrowed her eyes. She was not such a fool....

What was he doing here? Ark couldn't really remember, his journey began three days ago. Such a waste of time, to spend three days traveling to some "forgotten city" or something like that, and then forgetting what it was you came there for. Even so, this city didn't look very forgotten. Orthorn was very much a bustling place of activity.
"Ugh...I'm completely confused. I feel like such an idiot right now..."
Then, a piece of information previously though permanently forgotten came into his mind: the "forgotten city" was somewhere underground. Well, that sure makes a lot more sense than where he is now. How he was going to get there, however, was a different matter altogether.
He wanted to know exactly what he was getting into first, so he decided to read up on the city before diving into who-knows-what. He headed for the library, but when he got there, the front desk was abandoned and the whole place was dark. Not thinking much of it, he proceeded down the isles. At first, he went down through the Nonfiction sections, but nothing in regards to an abandoned city was found. Trying his luck, he proceeded to the Fiction section. There, he found a book entitled "Tales of the Underground Orthorn." As he reached for it, he heard a loud crack. He backed off and looked around, expecting to see some kind of mad citygoer, but no one came. He stepped forward again to reach for the book, but the rotted floorboard caved in beneath his feet, and he fell quite a ways before landing in a pile of rubble. It made a very loud crashing noise and his landing was anything but graceful, but he emerged with little more than a couple of scrapes. He now stood in the Underground, just a street away from Kimiko and Kurama.

The chances were now that she was going to kill him the next time that she saw him. She would kill him with her own two hands, maybe strangle him. All of this was his fault! If she hadn't run into him and gotten distracted, she would have known even Kurama had gone. 'I hate Revie,' she mentally cursed to herself. It had been about three months since she had last seen the other fox demon. All she had to remember him by was simply a rose. That was the only proof she had to show he wasn’t a dream.
How long had she been down here underground? To her under there she had no sense of time because she refused to go out into the daylight again. Five days to a week sounded like about the right amount of time that she’d been there. It was the only place in the area that she had to retreat to. Here, she was able to escape from those that wished to kill her just because of something her stupid dead parents did. It wasn’t like she had anything to do with it all in the first place. Life was never fair.
She walked down those dark and lonely streets without a care. Her clawed hands stayed hidden away in her pockets as she strolled. Down here, she had no destination because she felt as if she had already been everywhere. Raveik was starting to believe that she wouldn’t be able to settle for this life style much longer. She wasn’t one to be trapped under ground all the time. She was too active and needed some way to channel her energy. Though it seemed now that would have to wait. The loud crash sound had now obviously caught her attention then.
Raveik was able to move quickly and effortlessly. It wasn’t long until she picked up that familiar scent. There was no mistake. She switched her path some to event. After a couple of moment she was able to lay her teal gaze on him, Youko Kurama. “Kura-chan,” came the excited loud burst as she than randomly glomped him. She knew very well that there were others nearby like Kimiko but she didn’t allow them to distract her. It’d been to long since she had last seen Kurama and she wouldn’t give up this once in a lifetime chance to stalk him again.

Kurama's eyes gleamed with amusement, his sly smile did not falter at the girl's cautious hostility. He chuckled, noticing her souvenirs. "No need to be so stingy, I don't steal from fair maidens," he said coolly.
He angled his ears slightly, hearing something collapsing, but it was a common occurrence while a bustling city thrived above. He felt no threatening presence, so there was little cause for alarm. He only kept his golden gaze level with the female before him. "May I ask why such a graceful beauty is lurking in the darkness of the underground?" he wondered, curious but always the flirt, no matter what the situation was.
His ears twitched at the sound of approaching footsteps before he could wait for an answer. He looked around curiously when he heard a pet name. Caught off guard, he had no time to brace himself - and even if he did, he would not have expected it anyway. Kurama fell to the ground with the sudden, added weight on top of him. He managed to break his fall, so he was unharmed.
Kurama blinked, but once he recognized who it was that had tackle hugged him, he smirked and said, "Well, hello there, again, Princess."

She wasn't used to being talked to in such a manner. More often than not, Kimiko avoided social interaction. She hesitated a little, caught a little off guard by his smooth talking and generally confident attitude. Such a being normally meant he was powerful - and by the looks of it, this male was.
Her head twisted a little to where the sound had come from. It wasn't that great of a distance and while she didn't think there would be too much of a threat, she wasn't a person to just disregard things. Unlike the male in front of her, it seemed. She was about to respond to his questions when he was suddenly tackled to the ground by an unknown female. Quickly becoming uncomfortable, Kimiko took a few steps back.
She contemplated leaving the scene before things got too rough.

Her job was done, she had successfully hugged Kurama and it made her whole day better. Surprisingly, she let go of him but it wasn't to allow him to get up, she'd been distracted by Kimiko now, her overly friendly nature coming out. Maybe it was because the other female had moved back that she noticed her. Maybe it was something else. Raveik didn't care, she had a new friend to make here! Those bright teal eyes looked back into the other's direction and she then smiled and waved back at her, as happily as possible.
Without another word she skipped back over to Kimiko, and got rather close up to her face. "Hi! I'm Raveik, Kura-chan's personal-" she stopped there, realizing that she was talking out loud to much. "Who are you," she then asked with a shiny fanged smile. The kitsune then over looked the other girl again, trying to see if she could find anything interesting about her. When she finally looked up, she noticed the hat and let out a cheer of excitement. "Oh my god! Oh my god! May I wear your hat?! Huh? Huh? May I? Please?"

After a few minutes of getting up and falling as the rubble shifted underneath him, he managed to get out into the street. He crossed his arms and looked around. Seeing nothing of interest in this desolate city quite yet, he started down the street when some voices caught his attention. He stealthily ran in between two house-like buildings and looked out the other end. He noticed the two figures standing there, talking. He didn't recognize the anthro, but the other one....yes, something about her sparked a memory. They had met before, perhaps? Maybe, he wasn't sure. she did seem familiar, though.
He was about to step into the less-than-existent conversation when he saw a figure coming up on the anthro, and fast. He pressed his back against the wall, thinking that the anthro was about to be assassinated. But he looked back in time to see him get massively glomped. He let out a brief sigh. He noticed the girl's discomfort subconsciously, and didn't really notice it until the newcomer ran up to her and started talking and asking questions. He decided then to make a move.
He finally walked into view of the three. He disregarded the fist anthro (he was still on the ground, and could be heard if he was going to attack), and payed most attention to the second. Thinking that he had seen Kimiko before, he decided to come to her defense. After all, she was human and these two, well, weren't. Then again, he wasn't exactly completely human anymore. The metal plate across the left side of his face was proof of that. He cleared his throat and faced the second anthro.
"Sorry if I'm interrupting, but it doesn't look like this lady wants to be bothered right now."
He was going to say more, but he couldn't think of anything else to say that wouldn't make any unnecessary "connections" apparent or make a new enemy. He should have thought this through a bit more thoroughly...
