A chimera is a fusion of two different species (usually animal) into one organism. This is accomplished by genetic manipulation. This is not a being of magic, but rather science.
The most common chimera has three heads, that of a lion and that of a goat, and the tail of the creature is the head of a snake. The front claws are that of the lion, and the back haunches are that of the goat, while the back is covered with snake scales.
It can breathe fire.
