This...is kind of relaxing....
The sun was just beginning to rise in the horizon, painting the sky with pastel colors of pink, purple and orange. A casual wind stirred the grains of sand, waking up the few animals that lived in such a place. As the wind made its way across the land, it came across a new addition.
Kimiko Tetsu lay in the sand, hair sprayed around her, arms spread out. Her top hat lay by her left side, looking as prim as ever. Her outfit, however, begged to differ. It had been a pristine blue color, but was now splayed with spots of dark red, dried blood. It had been a long night for the Slayer.
She closed her eyes in exhaustion. Even if a target walked up and talked to her, she doubted her ability to take it out. As it was, she was not willing to send away the natural wind with her wind magick. Kimiko sighed. Just a little relaxation was nice....

No no no, he couldn't deal with relaxing. That was just something that had never coursed through him. Revlis was always on the go, always looking for something to do, someone to talk to. His ears pinned back as he looked around the area for a moment. Nothing but animals. These animals wanted nothing to do with him so he didn't even try. All they ever did was run anyway and that was no fun for the furrie hybrid. A flicker of his tail was given as he sniffed the air, just taking in he scents of the world.
Yet, something hit him here. There was something different in the wind this time. The smell of some sort of humanoid. His eyes brightened up and he ran back off to go and find who was around here. It wasn't long before he saw Kimiko just laying there on the sand. How boring! He blinked as his red violet eyes ventured over her frame. Maybe she was bored just like he was. It was only second later that he was standing beside the girl, looking back down at her, a huge grin on his face. "Hiiiii, I'm Revie!"

She felt a slight disturbance in the wind. She hadn't used her own magick, but had allowed the natural one to 'speak' to her. She didn't think of it much, and so ignored it.
Big mistake.
The sand around her vibrated in rhythm, alerting her of someone or something nearing her. Kimiko groaned softly. If it was an enemy, there were two options to take. If it was another Slayer, there were other options. If it was an animal...she'd just spook the damn thing away. Just a little bit more sleep. She knew it had probably been hours since she'd collapsed on the sand judging by how warm her skin felt.
"Hiiiii, I'm Revie!"
She sat up straight at the loud, happy introduction. Blue eyes showing surprise looked up to the red violet eyes standing before her. A few moments of silence passed before Kimiko groaned and lay back down.
"I'm...Kimiko Tetsu," she offered as she rubbed her eyes.

His ears went back slightly when she introduced herself. This girl wasn't exciting at all. All she did was speak and then lay back down. Oh no, he wasn't going to deal with someone like that. He was Revlis Revirra after all. "Hey, hey, you! Get up, let's go play or a game or something!" Even though he had just met the girl, he was already offering to play with her because games were a favorite past time of his. It involved him using his mind in a creative manner most of the time and he needed that now.
Taking a hand out of his pocket, he got into a slight crouching position so he wasn't as high over the poor girl. Reaching one clawed finger out, he attempted to poke her in the side to see if he would get some kind of response form her. "Come on!!!" The demon furrie swayed his tail back and forth impatiently. He was supposed to be the "evil" protector of Atsune Kenkyusha, the incarnate of Durtrykil. Having that sort of job, Atsune never played with him and now she had just left him behind to do whatever it was that she did.

She had to be mental to 'play' with him.
Did he not realize she was covered in blood that belonged to his supporters? That she was a human, thus Neutral, and a Slayer? She'd given her name to him as a means to show respect to a life she would have to take. But...she had taken down two very strong Cultists. It had taken her the entire night and before that she had to track them down. Thus, it culminated to three days worth of work without much rest.
"You should find someone else," she said after being poked. It was an indication of how tired she was that she didn't lash out at him. Eventually she did stand up, brushing sand off her suit. She could feel the negative aura around him, similar to that aura that Sojiro had. She quickly got rid of the thought.
"I'm not a fun person...Revie, was it? I'm just here to rest a little before heading out." It was interesting to see him around here, though. She was under the impression the land was usually deserted.

To be honest, he had never really looked at people as being good, bad, or neutral. In his mind, everyone was equal. Although that went greatly against him being the evil protector, he didn't care. He was evil somewhat not by choice. His father had encouraged him to spend time with Atsune because he had sensed who she really was. So, he spent time with her and did his best to befriend the poor girl. A month later, he'd sworn to protect her no matter what because she'd finally become his best friend in his mind, thus he became her protector.
His red violet gaze followed Kimiko, slightly annoyed now and he rose when she did. How could someone say that they weren't fun? That was something for him to decide, not her. He pricked his ears back forward, still not caring anything about her appearance either. Blood was blood. So what of it? "Mr. Whale wants you to play with us though," he started to whine in a childish manner even though he was already an 'adult' at eighteen years of age. When he said Mr. Whale, he referred to a whale that was on his T-Shirt.

She was testing out her strength and how much she had recuperated when he began to whine. Kimiko looked at him in utter horror. She would regret it as soon as she said it, but said it she did:
"You've got to be kidding me."
She was a focused eighteen year old, strict, rigid, cold. And he was...not. In fact, he was just about the complete opposite of her. She was almost, ALMOST, tempted to slap herself. Maybe she was sleeping and her mind had produced this Revie in order to test her. Or trick her. Well, if that was the case....
"What exactly does...Mr. Whale...want me to play?" She'd show her mind. Ha, ha, she was stronger than it could be. She'd show it. Oh, she'd show it.

That look of horror that she'd given him didn't please him to much. Maybe she really was right, she wasn't fun. Although, he wasn't going to give up just yet. when she asked him what Mr. Whale wanted to play, he looked around for a second, thinking. he wasn't to sure what to play for a moment until he saw a stick on the ground. That was it! "Hold on a second," he quickly replied to the girl. His ears pricked forward and he went and ran off to the edge of the forest and broke a branch off of a tree. Then he happily skipped back over to Kimiko and presented the stick in front of her, a fanged smile expressed on his features. "Let's play fetch!"

Fetch, huh? She couldn't help the small smirk that came to her lips. His mood was infectious. She watched as he ran and brought back a branch. She took hold of it and threw it up in the air. If this was just a trick her mind was playing, then she'd be able to be a little reckless without repurcussions.
"All right," she agreed. "Let's play fetch, but!" She motioned to the stick. When she was certain he was looking, she called forth the Ice and effectively coated the branch in an icy shield. "We'll play with a few modifications."
She threw the stick: "Fetch!" As soon as the stick left her hand, she summoned a strong wind and carried the stick a little further. "This won't be easy."

He'd never played a game of fetch like this before and it had his complete attention. Although the twist on it was amazing to him. It'd be a challenge and that was something that he always sort after. When she first coated it in ice, his thoughts were to melt it with fire or strike it with lightning. Though that would have been cheating and would have taken all of the fun out of the game. So he couldn't do that. He'd just have to deal with it.
When Kimiko threw the ice covered branch and lifted it with a wind, his red violet gaze instantly took sight of it and he stayed locked on. Within a second, he'd been transformed into a Border Collie looking creature and ran after the stick at a surprising speed. Although, when he jumped, he ended up hitting his head on the hard ice, not even coming close to catching it rather than that. Gravity sent him flying back down to the soil and he growled when the stick landed beside him as well. Though, his first concern was himself and how he'd just hit his head. He couldn't even protect himself so how could be protect Atsune?

As she watched him go off after the stick, she was only slightly surprised to see him transform into a dog-like creature. The force of his focus was far more surprising. She took a step back, watching as he ran for the stick. To have changed so rapidly...and the confidence he sported as he played. It was highly possible he was quite powerful, perhaps more than she could handle by herself.
'But...' Kimiko argued, 'this is all in my head. Would my mind really come up with someone more powerful than I?' It was then that Revie jumped and missed, in the process hitting his head. 'I take it back.'
She ran to where he was, taking a little bit more time than he had to cross the distance. She peered over him much as he had done to her: "Are you all right? You should have just destroyed it, you know." She held out her hand and an icicle formed. "I can make us some new sticks to play with."

There was no doubt in his own mind that he really was strong. He may have been stronger than most, trained by his father. Revlis had come from a long line of protectors for the incarnates of the evil side. Though, he cared nothing for this power really. He never seemed to show it unless there was a threat or he was playing around with Atsune or someone else. He didn't fight unless he needed to but when he did, he lost his childish actions and became a true protector. Atsune had rarely ever seen this side of him.
He shook his head slightly, trying to clear away the pain. The dog then looked back at Kimiko who was now beside him and speaking. "That would take all the fun outta' the game. Besides, the stick would have burnt," he said glaring back at the stick. His gaze then shifted back to the icicle in her hand and he blinked. Was she really trying to freeze his mouth or what? Oh well, this was a time to play and not complain about it. As long as something was thrown and he could fetch. "Throw it! Throw it," he yelled as he ran around her in circles.

Roy had been on his way back to his dark home in Rayvin Forest when he came across these two.
An odd couple...and what is this, a game of fetch? That one looks like she's been busy...
He observed them as they were playing and covered his face with his palm when Revlis failed to successfully catch the ice-covered stick. Finally he decided to make himself known to the couple. He slowly approached them as the doglike creature hopped around the girl. Well, he didn't make himself seen until he was right next to them. He released the power of shadow around him and became visible.
"Greetings, what an unlikeley couple we have here..." he said in a raspy voice. His cloak was off, so they could see his grey, scarred face quite well.

Yes, he was the sort of type that infected people with his mood.
Kimiko shook her head at his antics, but a small smile was on her face, her eyes amused by the whole thing. She noticed the brief hesitation he had when he had looked to the icicle. It took her a little bit, especially as she was a little distracted with him running around, but she eventually let the icicle lose its shape.
"Let's just use the regular stick, ne?" she suggested, starting to grab the stick. It was then that she felt danger. She looked over her shoulder and a second later a large figure appeared not five paces away from Revie and she. Kimiko reacted, jumping a few feet away. She felt the aura far more clearly from this being. Her eyes narrowed. There was no doubt of what this man was: a Cultist.
She tested herself again and frowned. She was still not able to fully fight at her best level. It had to be this, didn't it, mind? She was not in any mood to fight. She didn't think Revie would be frightened, as they no doubt were on the same side, but she was a little concerned about his welfare.
"Greetings to you as well, stranger," she replied.

When Kimiko began to reach down to grab the stick, he tail was going madly wild, Yet, then that presence had come and he realized what it was. Someone had unknowingly come up on them. How could he not have sensed it? What was wrong with him? That keen nose of his should have picked up something or his ears at that! His ears flickered slightly as he listened to the words. He didn't like this scent in the air now. It was an undead scent by this guy's blood. What was going on just now? So much for fetch.
His happy joyful expression stopped right there and he transformed back into his regular self, his back still to the stranger. Turning his body slightly, he gazed back with those piercing red violet eyes. It was obvious that his energy had now changed. "What an unlikely creature we have here," the demon furrie responded back to him coldly. He didn't care much for people like this. Even if they were on the same side, it would never matter to him. If he felt someone was a real threat to him, he normally didn't play around with the feeling he got.
"Who are you and what do you want?" He then looked back to Kimiko again. This guy had interrupted his game of fetch and he didn't approve of that. He could sense that his new 'friend' was uneasy around this new guy. When he looked back at the girl, he tried to just use his eyes to say that it would be alright. There was no need for words. Glancing back at the other male again, a spark of electricity started to fly around different parts of his body. "Well, you gonna tell us or what," he then asked, impatiently.

Roy cackled to himself when he saw how they responded to him appearance. "Suddenly lost the mood, have we? Nothing I'm not used to; I do that to people." Yes, this was the one that he had heard of. The girl in the top hat, she had been targeting cultists for some time now. His kind was growing ever sparser, and it was starting to get lonely.
Ha! That's about to end.
As he heard what the demon furrie said, he cackled to himself once again. "I'M the unlikely creature here? HA! And what might you be, some kind of demon?" He let out a sigh. "It doesn't matter. I'm not here for anything that concerns you, so stand aside, if you please."
If you don't, I'll blow your head out of existence.
"But you, my friend," He said, pointing a skeletal finger at Kimiko, "Are a different story." As he spoke, he held his skeleton hand in front of him, watching as shadow magic crept up his arm and began to collect and swirl around his fingers. "As of late, I've noticed that some 'friends' of mine have been disappearing....so unlucky for you to have chosen such a place to play today, for it will be your last." As he said this, the shadow magic suddenly merged and formed an orb of shadow energy, and Roy threw it straight at Kimiko's head.

Revlis looked at Roy as he just about cast him out to the side. Was he serious? You couldn't do something like that to Revlis. He was Revlis Revirra after all and had a name for himself thus having a reputation to uphold as Atsune's protector. Although not many knew that she was the incarnate of Durtrykil right now. They'd know sometime soon. He knew very well that the evil doer was always trying to get his friend to take the sword near the fountain. There was no doubt about that right now. War would come soon.
'Rakurai,' he thought to himself. The electricity sparking out around his body then rushed into his hand to form a lightning bolt. That second, it struck back at the orb of Shadow magic right before it could hit Kimiko. "You should really answer someone's question. It's rude not to," he said calming as his cold eyes glared back at Roy. "Maybe I am some kind of demon but you'd have to focus to know. I don't really appreciate you going and attacking my new friend here. Not to mention that you ruined my gave of fetch."
His eyes then flashed a blood red for just a split second and he advanced a couple of steps towards Roy, his tail waving behind him, hands in his jacket pockets. "You've got a lot of nerve coming out here anyway. I'll see to it that you're Durtrykil's first victim if not mine first." He got a cocky smirk painted across his face as he stopped just feet away from Roy. "So what's your call, bub? I don't have all day to sit around here and mes around with you." His words were like ice.

"...strong words for someone who seemed so foolish." Roy smiled a little. "Alright. I feel a little better now. In honesty, I wasn't going to kill anyone here. It would be suicide to try to attack both of you at once..." Roy looked back at Kimiko. "I DID hear that you were taking out cultists, but I could care less. Those idiots deserved to die."
"In reality, this was all about you, Revlis. I had heard that you were the protector of the new dark incarnate. I had been observing you in the shadows for quite some time....it was disturbing to me. To see someone so carefree, so childish and immature, deemed with the responsibility of protecting the evil incarnate. I was hoping that you could rise to the occasion when it called for it, and I wasn't let down. You look powerful enough, and I don't really feel like fighting right now...at least it is no longer a great burden in my mind that someone such as you is the protector. Your attitude is still disturbing enough, though."
He returned his hands to his cloak pockets. "I do hope that this means that we can be friends. We are on the same side, you know."
I am truly amazed by the amount of energy this thing's letting out...and it hasn't even attacked yet! I'd be dead before I could charge another shot. I need to rest after last night, I couldn't take him on at the moment.

The change in Revie was stunning.
He changed from his happy-go-lucky attitude to being a cold deamon deadly in his use of power. She felt the power he radiated and just barely stopped herself from shuddering. No doubt that power was just a fraction of what he had in him. Kimiko narrowed her eyes - this whole thing was becoming too real and she was forced to admit that this was not a figment of her mind. This was no dream. She was in an open place with two deamon with her abilities heavily impared. Lovely.
She glared at the intruding daemon as he singled her out. She couldn't help the small smirk and laugh as he pointed out her successful triumphs. "I can't take all the credit," she chided. "Other Slayers have done their part as well." She wanted to continue, but his sudden attack cut her off. She was pulling forth the most powerful defensive move she had at her disposal when Revie cut the enemy's attack. She was about to protest - it was going to be her fight, dammit - but held back. It was a deamon moment and she was still JUST a human.
She was nothing at this point, not without being completely rested. She shifted slightly, covering her bases in case something bad should happen. Even though it appeared the intruder had cooled off, she didn't like the look of his skeletal arm and was trying to recall information on him. She gave a mocking look to him as he mentioned not caring for her killling Cultists.
She couldn't say much, since the conversation was between the two and she had been pushed aside. Not that it mattered, really. Perhaps it was time for her to head to a resting place and finally recuperate. She watched as the intruder withdrew his hands and offered a form of friendship. Hesitating a little, she eventually decided to take a step back and continue to do so until she could leave the site.

The demon furrie listened as Roy spat out insults to him here and there. There as no need to react to such a thing. It would show weakness on his own part. Although, he couldn't help but smirk when this buy had decided to back down from the fight. "Wise choice," he said smoothly, although his words still held that icy feeling to them. "I'm not one to go around picking sides. I'm not evil, good, or neutral. I merely protect Atsune because she's my closest friend. Same goes for Kimiko here." It was only true.
His blood began to settle down, the temperature cooling back to a normal body heat. The sparks around his body did nothing but fade away as his chakra system relaxed. "I also don't befriend those that attack in innocent," he said. He didn't care for the blood on Kimiko's clothing at all still and in his eyes, she was innocent. People always killed but this vibe that he got from Roy had him on edge. It was a feeling that he didn't like and didn't want to experience any longer. There was no need too.
Shifting his red violent gaze back to Kimiko, he noticed that she was beginning to back away from he and Roy. No. There was no need for that here anymore. Things were fine and settled. Even if Durtrykil were to come to power again some time, he was still sure to stay by his side because inside there would always be Atsune in there somewhere. Although he wasn't sure if Durtrykil would take this skeletal guy to come and fight with him or not. Both of them had just seen a hint of each others power just now.
"Kimiko, where are you doing," he finally asked her. His voice was now sweet like honey and held a charming tone to it. It was funny how he could be so nice to one person and so hateful to the other in just a matter of seconds That was just another Revlis thing that people would have to learn about at some time right? He lifted a clawed hand to push some stray hairs from his eyes. Then his tail flickered as his ears stayed alert, waiting for a response from either of them. He had no problem talking to both.
