The forest was quiet, with nothing but the soft rustle of leaves to greet the ears of any living creature. The thick forest canopy created a slightly dark environment, but it was cool and relaxing. A nice place to get away from it all.
Kyr dropped down from one of the trees, silently landing on the ground on her feet. She had just woken up from a peaceful nap in the tree, and was now ready to go look for potential employers.
She had not been hired recently, so she wondered if there were any potential employers for her. It was a good thing that she was not desperate for work, otherwise, she would probably be a starving beggar by now, wandering through the streets of the city and becoming a common theif. But, no, she would never stoop so low. It was true she had no money on her, but she usually went to nature and hunted for her food so she would not starve, and building shelters so she would not be exposed to the elements. Working was just a hobby, and money gave her purpose. Not like she had anything else to do.
Now, if only she could remember where exactly she was...
Kyr focused her senses, listening to her surroundings. Right. She was in the forest. Her former home so many years ago. It did not even sound the same to her anymore. She no longer considered this place her home. She had no home. Really, she had no purpose for one. She traveled too much, and preferred to not stay in one place for long. It was a pointless endevor to search and buy or rent a home.
Once reoriented on her location she chose a random direction and began making her way through the trees. As she walked, she untied her blindfold and shook out any random twigs that had managed to get stuck to the cloth, keeping her eyes closed. Once she was satisfied, she replaced the blindfold over her eyes and began absently pulling the leaves out of her hair.

Silver silently wandered through the thick vegetation, with no real destination. He had been doing this for years, ever since the last Incarnate had been killed. He had lost track of the other Knights, and had been lost... but word spread quickly to his ears, and he had learned news of a possible new Incarnate. If that was the case, he had to get to him as soon as possible.
He passed through the trees, and came upon Kyr. Surprised at finding another person in such a random area, he approached with caution, and quietly said, "Excuse me, lass... But I require directions. Are you from here?"

Kyr paused at the sound of footsteps, but initially decided to ignore them. Then there was a voice, most likely talking to her since she sensed no one else around. She stopped walking and turned her face toward the source, curiously. She briefly wondered what sort of creature this was before her, such an odd scent.
She pulled a final leaf from her hair, telling herself that she needed to find a tree that did not shed as much to sleep in next time.
"Am I from here?" she repeated, really just asking herself this question. She technically was since she had been born and raised in this forest, but that was long ago and everything was different now. It was hard to recognize her surroundings anymore. Finally she said in an uninterested tone, "Yes, but I have no directions for you."

Silver blinked at how the random woman simply brushed him off, but did not change his attitude, continuing to be polite. "Lass, I did not even ask you about the directions, how would you not know? Besides, it's not really directions so much as... if you've heard of a certain someone, and where they might be. I could pay you for such information."

Since she, herself, was bad with direction, having gotten lost several times, she doubted she could be of much help. And she rarely had good information of the whereabouts of other people since such descriptions were always based off appearance, and she rarely ever took off her blindfold to observe such things. The offer of coin did intrigue her, though, and kept her from ignoring the creature further and leaving.
"I still wouldn't know, but you may still ask," Kyr said nonchalantly, putting her hands in the pockets of her cloak as she waited for him to speak.

Unsettled by the woman, Silver hesitantly proceeded. He had seen how she obviously liked the idea of money, and noted her as a mercenary type. "I am looking for one who calls himself Matthew Emerald. He is... a very special person. Obviously, you wouldn't know any details about him, but last I heard, he was in the wilderness. If you could somehow help me find him, I could make it worth your while."

Seraph had been wandering the forest for some time now he was really growing tired of it when he had heard voices not far off. He started towards them. He now heard what they were talking about. he used his ability to manipulate wind to lift himself up into the tree above them.
Leaves fell down as he landed but hopefully no one would notice.

Kyr was silent for a moment, giving his words some thought as her opinion of him changed from odd stranger to potential employer. She was not at all good at names, either. Unless the actually person was notable, in her opinion, she usually forget them as soon as they left her presence or thoughts. Which was just about everyone.
"I've not heard of him, but I will assist you," Kyr replied. She was bored anyway, and there was nothing else to do.
Her sensitive ears picked up a misplaced sound. Leaves. She turned her face, distracted, listening and sensing a new presence.

Silver nodded, and said, "There's someone who just recently appeared. I do not know who they are... their presence is not familiar." He scanned the surrounding wood, and said, "...It could be a spy of some kind... more people than I are looking for this man, lass. It's imperative we find him first."

He'd never been to sure why he did what he did but this was a good enough place to be. "Ready? Go round!" The boy had just thrown a frisbee as a Fallon, a dog, circled around him and went back out to catch the flying disc. The dog leaped up with the greatest of ease and landed on all four, quickly turning to run back to Airesu. "Come on big boy, let's go! You can do it!" He cheered the dog on for a moment and smiled when he brought the frisbee back to him. Not to far away, a phoenix sat in the trees, watching on with another dog and a small dragon at the base of the tree. Though just as Ai was about to throw another disc, three scents in the wind caught his attention. "Quite," he said to the creatures around him.

Slowly Seraph knew that they knew he was there. Seraph glided down in front of the two strangers. The wind gave a strong gust as Seraph landed. "Hello" said Seraph kindly. Seraph took notice of his surroundings once more trees lined up everywhere and leaves had been falling so it could actually be slippery if he decided to escape. Then again he could easily just up and outta here on the wind.

Not that she had any problems with crowds, Kyr felt a bit uncomfortable with these new arrivals, even if it was only a few in number. Maybe it was just that she had become used to wandering alone. Her senses could also pick up a third being, out of sight. Either way, it did not matter to her.
She could sense no malicious intent from either, so she decided to ignore them, even as the one who actually decided to reveal themselves greeted them. She returned her full attention to her potential employer, though it was not that difficult to tune everything else out, even if she was often easily distracted.
"My name is Kyr," she said to him in her laid back manner. She was not one to worry about spies or time constraints, she left that to other people. Besides, she preferred to introduce herself before working for anyone. It was also better if she could put a name to a presence, though, she would not be likely to remember it later. It was just formalities.
