It was night.
All of the merchant shops were closed for the day, but some lights from the houses and streets continued to illuminate the banks and cast yellow streaks across the river.
Alucard was at the highest point on the bridge, looking at the scene, watching as the river seemed to flicker with light.
It was beautiful, yes, but nothing like what it was before the cataclysm.

Walking, silently and alone, Krimson began to walk the bridge, which was surprisingly devoid of people. Except for one, as Krimson noticed him he could not help but wonder what he was thinking. Quite a night to be alone... I wonder what he is doing. Krimson pushed the thought out of his mind and continued. He has not time to dilly dally, he had a target to eliminate...

As he stood there, surveying the scene, he couldn't help but notice someone approaching him, coming up the bridge. He quickly glanced in that direction, and his eyes met with the newcomer. He looked like he was on a mission, a determined expression on his face. Alucard shifted a little, feeling the reassuring weight of Cerberus on his back.
Hmmm...doesn't look like he's from around here...wouldn't want to get in his way, but I can't help but think of why he's here...

As the other’s eyes met his, Krimson realized he had a serious expression on his face. He could see the other was rather nervous, perhaps alarmed at his hard expression and powerful strides. Krimson allowed the muscles in his face to relax and approached the man. Krimson said, “Hey friend, how are you this evening?”
I hope he's friendly, but he sure doesn't look friendly...

"Friend...? I don't recall seeing your face before. Nonetheless, I'm alright, if you must know. A bit down."
Strange, someone so determined finding the time to talk to a stranger...unless he takes me for someone else.
At first, Alucard doesn't move, but then turns to face the newcomer and extends his hand.

Oh what oh what was he doing here this night? It wasn't much like him but he liked the dark. The night was welcoming to him but he almost blended in. The odd human was dressed in all black as he always was. It was more of a protection thing for him. It made him feel safe. The only thing that really stood out about him were those light blue eyes and that black teal tipped hair. Well, that was if you didn't count the black ears and and coyote tail on him. The ears tipped in teal and the tail in white.
He sighed to himself as he lay on one side of the bride, more or less on the edge. There, he stared up at the stars and the moon. Something was so memorizing about them but he couldn't put a word to it or figure a way to explain it at all. The ears of the natural shapeshifter flickered slightly to the sound of two voices. Two people meeting maybe? He wasn't to sure what to make of it right at that moment. What were other people doing out in a place like this anyway? It was dangerous sometimes at night.

Krimson extended his hand as well. As their hands met, a strange tension entered Krimson's mind. This person... seems familiar... Krimson began thinking to himself as he walked off. Now that I think about it, that guy matched the description of the bounty I came to collect... Nah, I'm just thinking too hard, but then again...
Krimson looked back at Alucard and pulled out a parchment. The image had a strong resemblance. Krimson sighed and drew out his blades. "Nothing personal my friend, but I have to collect a bounty on your head. So please, put up a good fight."

"Tch. A bounty? For what? Not that it matters, I guess." Alucard casually drew his blade and jabbed it into the ground.
"I had a feeling that you weren't on my side from the beginning."
He flipped his bangs to the other side of his face, exposing a scar running vertically on the left side of his face and over his eye. "Well, bounty hunter, you first."

Being in town was always a nice little rest.
The night wind aided her as she jumped through the roofs of the buildings and scaled some walls, making her way through the town in an effort to calm her senses. She'd scored a pretty nice kill earlier that evening and she was still in her high. Kimiko sailed through the air, light hair flying behind her, one hand clutching her top hat. A small giggle let loose from her lips, eyes of blue sparkling in quiet glee.
She had rented out a small room for the night and feeling a little bit better, she turned and headed towards the inn. As she passed by the bridge, she caught a glimmer of something sparkling in the night. Immediately intrigued, she landed softly at the beginning of the bridge. Silently, she began to walk forward, wondering what it was that flashed. She was answered not too long after that.
Kimiko stopped before she could fully interact with the two males about to fight with swords. She made a little scowl and retreated a step or two backwards. Swords and the like were not something she enjoyed going up against. She blinked and realized that another person was also witness to the strange encounter being taken place a little aways. He didn't seem to be involved and so she directed a hushed greeting to him.
"Good evening, stranger. May I inquire as to what's going on up ahead? Do you know?"

Seeing as his new "friend" wasn't going to make the first move, he decided to. He took a casual step forward, then flashed past Krimson, slashing at him horizontally with Cerberus. He turned and stopped a few feet behind him, poking his sword into the ground and leaning on it casually. He did, however, take note of the two spectators.
Hmmm, what's this? Attracting a crowd, are we? Well, we should end this quickly, then. Don't want too many people knowing about this. That silver-haired girl looks rather....interesting, though.

Krimson was caught off-guard. But before the fatal blow landed, be barely made an escape with a dodge.
HA! He is fast and rather dangerous I might add. This will finally be a fight worth fighting...
Krimson turned and faced his enemy, eager to see his reaction after his dodge. Krimson saw the spectators as well.
No matter, they are not a problem.
"Hey bud! How'd ya like that dodge? Pretty close though. Anyways, you're gonna be a fun fight. No one have been worth fighting recently"
Krimson lowered his head. And that's a damn shame, to not have a good fight...

He'd didn't put much thought into the other people around him. They were just there doing whatever it was that they wanted to do, Why should he get involved with them? It would so nothing but risk his life or the chance of injury. That really wasn't something that he needed right now she he figured he would let them do what they wanted. As long as no one would disturb him he would be fine just looking at the sky. That really couldn't be considered a crime, could it? He wasn't sure about it.
Then a flicker of his ear came to a new voice being called out to him. He glanced back up to see Kimiko standing there, talking to him. How lovely. This was just what he didn't need. He made no expression on his face to show his dissatisfaction. Her merely faked himself and smiled back up at her. "I'm afraid not, M'Lady." He glanced back over at the other two males for a moment to see that they were now fighting. At least that was what it looked like they were attempting to do. Wasn't it obvious?
"I don't associate myself with people like them. So I have no idea what they could be up to. Looks fun, doesn't it?" He would try to be a bit nice to her since he'd been raised to respect people to some extent. Well not people but woman to be specific. His gaze then shifted back to her for a moment, his tail flickering beside him. "What bring you out here?" Might as well start up a conversation. Chances were the girl would have done it anyway if she was already talking to him. Best to get it over with.

Kimiko expected the small reply and a peek into his mind told her he was not so much on the social side. She was about to move to get a closer look when he continued on. That was surprsing. She gave a little chuckle, hands coming to rest on her hips as she tilted her head.
"I was under the impression you did not wish to talk any further," she remarked. He was trying to be nice simply because he had to. Not exactly how she wanted to have a conversation. Regardless, she decided to play along, and maybe irritate him a little bit. She looked again to the fight and was able to witness the slicing motion of one of males. It clearly appeared that he was able to get the second male, but said male reappeared a little away, unharmed.
"It does look like fun, though," she continued with the conversation. She walked forward a little and sat across the bridge from the one lying down, crossing her legs. "I'd join in, but swords are not my forte. Nasty little bugges to freeze." She tipped her hat a little to the side, the wind wanting to throw it off her head as she paid attention to the fight.

He watched her from the corner of his light blue eyes to make sure tat she wouldn't try anything. When she sat down, he found that eh was able to relax again some. Although it looked like he would have to sit here and talk with her again. Maybe that would be fine after he got to know her some. "Well, I'm sorry to hear that, Madam," he said with a somewhat disappointed voice, easily acting. "Swords are but fine weapons when used for a true purpose." His tail hit one of the swords that was at his hip although he said nothing of it.
"I believe their battle with swords is but a pointless one in my eyes. Motives must be set. A sword doesn't want to fight if for a fictional reason." He flashed her a fanged smile this time, allowing the wind to course through his black and teal hair. His coyote ears flashed forward as he listed to it. The wind had a nice rhythm to it at all times. It was something that he had now learned to cherish. "My apologies. I've been rude to you. My name is Keiten Yetsuka," he then said. Although he didn't get up and bow or anything. He was to comfortable where he was.

"Ha! Clever move. Good thing though, didn't want to finish this fight in one hit."
Although I wouldn't have minded. These spectators are getting on my nerves; they can't know what I am. The vampires are low in population anyways.
"Well, I'm glad you think I'm worthy." He took his sword out of the ground and swung it through the air. As he did, it began to glow. Not a weird, magical glow, but a deep red glow. It was getting superheated. Soon, little flames began to appear in the little serrated slots on the back side of the sword.
"Let's make this interesting. I don't plan to give you my worst." Alucard charged again, faking a slash again but then shifting for a stab. Nothing lethal, but it would probably burn his side off.

Krimson once again barely dodged. This fight was going to drain him if he didn't end it soon. The spectators gave him a rush, like when you are showing off with great skill to a random crowd of people, which is what he was doing. He felt like doing a trick of his own. He thought of a good showy move as quickly as he could. When he tough of the perfect trick to use, he grinned.
"You're really fast... But I'm faster! I'd like to see I you dodge one of my attacks.... I'll admit, I've been dying to use this ability for a while."
Krimson jumped into the air. He did several showy flips and descended upon his victim blade first...

"You speak so passionately of swords," Kimiko noted, "but it is because you carry them as well. I don't recall meeting someone like you. Most of the brutes I fight against that use sword just seem to swing them mindlessly."
Her eyes were still on the fight, a small smile on her face as it became a little more animated. She liked to watch these sort of things, simply to see if she could pick up on a few things to use in her own fights. Her magick twitched within her, wanting to get out in some way. She kept it down, focusing.
"Forgive my manners as well. My name is Kimiko Tetsu. Nice to meet you."

He sighed as he watched the other just blindly swing their swords around. Okay well maybe they had been planning something but Keiten had no respect for any of it at all. He didn't agree with their silly methods and figured that they never would. After he got Kimiko's statement and her name, he responded to her. "I respect swords for what they have done for and with me. They have taught me a lot and have much more to teach me." He could sense it. The training would never be over until the day that he died.
Glancing back down at the blades for a moment, he smiled. "I know this may sound crazy but you truly have to understand a sword to know that it does have a mind of it's own... To understand the way that it feels." Maybe it was some sort of spiritual connection that he had. Though must just saw their weapons as tools. They would never be ones to understand the true purpose of them. He figured maybe that was why Raighlot and Durtrykil had ended up killing each other. There could be so many possibilities for the cause there.

He was fast, that's for sure. He swiftly sidestepped the attack, but not before it cut a gash along his right arm. He fell to one knee, grasping his blade with his right arm and caressing his wound with his left. Then, Alucard smiled as he ascended, suddenly unfazed by the attack. "Well, it seems that this fight is going to be worth it."
As blood trickled down his arm, it soon made it's way to Cerberus. As the blood flowed down the blade, it began to spread along the side of the blade, splintering out like veins. Soon the flames on the back turned to a deep red, not unlike the color of blood itself. Then, Alucard's hand began to elongate and shift along the handle until it seemed that he and the blade had fused together.
Back for more, eh? He heard the voice inside his head that he knew all too well. The voice of Cerberus. Usually he couldn't hear him, but contact was inevitable when they were fused. Personally, Alucard thought Cerberus was just some freak of insanity that his mind releases whenever he uses his blade, but he's realized that the voice is really capable of taking over Alucard's body, however, only if he allowed him to. By the looks of things, the bloodthirsty soul was looking for some action.
Stay back on this one; I'll handle this.
Then he remembered something; this guy was looking for a bounty that was on his head. Probably the massacre that Cerberus caused a couple of weeks back.
He suddenly sprinted towards Krimson, scraping the tip of his blade on the ground until he was right in front of him. Then he changed stances, stopped, and brought his blade up to Krimson's face. Of nothing else, this should throw a fireball in his face.
