Title ~ Yume Kaitou
Life ~ 18
Marked ~ Female
Race ~ Half Human, Half Angel
Essence ~ Mage
Path ~ Neutral
Career ~ Possible Neutral Protector
Talents ~
Light Magick: Yume gained this ability from her father's genes. She has managed to be skilled in this thanks to extensive training. This is her most powerful magick, one she mastered. She can use the sun and moon to create attacks.
Fire Magick: A secondary Magick, she is less dedicated to it than she is with the Light. It is powerful, but she is no master of it.
Hand to Hand Combat: She is not strong in this area - in fact, she is the weakest here. However, she can use this to get out of some stints.
Reflection ~
She is a small young woman, only five feet five inches. Yume has bright green eyes that are often looking around in curiosity. Her hair is long, reaching to the small of her back, a shade of blue and green with bangs framing her face. Her skin is slightly tanned, a sign of her love of the sun. She has only one outfit - not liking any others for they restrict her movement.
Psyche ~ Yume is normally very easy going and sly. Because of her past, she doesn't like to be around strangers, but once she gets to know someone, she'll become friendly. Yume is fiercely protective of what is hers and any friends she makes, she tries to please.
Biography ~
Her parents were Jiro and Hana Kaitou. It was a marriage of love between an angel and a human. A rare combination, Jiro was set on having Hana as his wife and did everything in his power to do so. He was eventually successful and the twenty year old beauty became his wife.
Jiro and Hana had three offspring: Daichi, Yume, and Eiji. Daichi was born three years into the marriage, Yume a year later, and Eiji a year and a half after her. Yume was born premature as well, her health weak due to hemorrhages in her small body. The long term effects of this are that she bruises quite easily and her wounds tend to take a while to heal.
One would expect the Kaitou household to have been one of peace and serenity. On the contrary. Her family life was tragic. Hana and Jiro wanted only male heirs, wanting to pass on Jiro's power to the best suited gender. When Yume was born, they were heavily disappointed and with her illness, their view of her lessened until they only kept her alive.
Jiro turned his back on the good side, choosing to be neutral despite the decision labeling him as a Fallen Angel seven months after marrying Hana. Three months later, Jiro was swayed to the Evil side, keeping it a secret from Hana. He developed an alcohol problem and an explosive temper. More often than not, he would drink heavily until nothing remained of the hard liquor.
By the time all of his children were born, Jiro had heavily changed. Violent, he would beat Hana and Yume, all the while telling his sons that such was the way women should be treated. Hana, in turn, beat Yume, for she viewed Yume as the cause for the now violent Jiro when he was once sweet and caring. Daichi and Eiji did not hold their sister in high esteem, thinking it was because of her that Jiro would scream at them. She is no stranger to physical and mental abuse.
When she was but nine years old, Jiro committed the act that would forever be engraved in her memory. He came home angered, and quickly turned to alcohol for respite. Hana entered shortly after, demanding to know why he was drinking in front of her sons once more – Yume was never included. Jiro, drunk and anger growing, could only take a few more hits from his wife before his sanity snapped. Taking hold of Hana, he slammed her against the floor and proceeded to beat her mercilessly. In between the terrifying screams of agony and the thuds of flesh hitting flesh, he took Hana again and again in front of the three children. Not much later, when blood was splattered against the walls and Hana’s lovely face was but a memory, Jiro turned to Yume.
Despite the silent tears and the protests of his daughter, Jiro took hold of his belt, already bloody with Hana’s life source, and began to whip her, all the while cursing her existence. This punishment was short compared to Hana’s. Yume, trying to breathe despite the difficulty, was yanked to her feet and forced to walk to the family car. Hana was submitted to the same procedure. Daichi and Eiji were piled in and Jiro took the wheel. His sons screamed as he drove recklessly. Jiro only laughed, even as the car plummeted from a 500 meter drop into a lake.
Jiro and Hana were killed instantly. Rescuers came and managed to save the children. In the hospital, Daichi and Eiji both cursed Yume before passing away.
She was released to Hana's parents five weeks later. Her grandparents were very displeased and only kept her until she turned sixteen. During the seven years before she left their house, Yume trained extensively in a new found ability: Magick. She experimented and found she was capable of mostly Light, Fire and Water.
She took off from her grandparents' house on her birthday. She was given a small pack to put her things in, Yume choosing only to take the clothes on her back. She wandered around, earning her living by doing various little jobs, some of them thieving ones. Yume was passing by a little place when she eventually met up with a strange young man...one that turned out to be the Neutral Incarnate. Just like that, Yume was thrown into the struggle, acting as his protector.
Forgotten ~ Yume has one item she will not take off. Should this item be taken away, she will move even hell to get it back. The necklace she wears was the only thing Jiro gave to her as a symbol of being his daughter.
