The main purpose of an Exorsist is to keep Demons from being created, and to get rid of, or save any that are still new.
If a demon had just recently taken over someone's body, so that the previous consious is still present, though weak, an excorsist has the ability to speak with the former owner of the demon possessed body. At times, they can negotiate with them and help them restore their willpower to fight off the demon. This is not always the case, though. For one, some willingly become demons, and for another, some demon spirits are too powerful for them to resist. If such an instance happens, excorsists must then decide to kill the demon.
