The year is 1801, on the island of Sicily. In these days Sicily is an independent state from Italy and constantly ravaged by pirates.
The cost of being a pirate is deadly, and there are those who have sworn to rid Sicily of the pirate menace while there are many who set up secret housing when a pirate needs it. The penalty for assisting pirates is also death.
Oceanic battles have begun between the pirate ships and the naval ships, a war over Sicily and its waters. The citizens and nobles are frightened for their lives and homes, and the pirates are fighting for their livelihood.
